Engineering Coordinator (Brazil & LATAM)

Spencer Ogden are partnering with a reputable renewable energy firm with a focus on PV in the LATAM region to find a Engineering Coordinator Manager to join their team in Brazil.

Responsibilities include:

*Support the Engineering Director for LATAM
*To ensure that projects in Brazil and Latin America are properly developed and designed through the implementation of quick and solid evaluation and design processes as well as through consistent design standards and control mechanisms according to regional construction and design practices.
*Coordinate activities, resources, equipment and information for Engineering Brazilian projects
*Act as an interface between Sao Paulo Headquarter's team and the LATAM engineering team to coordinate the application of the best engineering practices and the knowledge transfer
*Coordinate and lead relationship with Engineering partners in Brazil
*Lead the technical relationship regarding the design of the projects with the third party technical advisors and/or independent engineers
*Lead the selection and management of external engineering firms
*Develop and control yield assessment with a strong working knowledge of PVSyst for the clients projects as needed. Design, tracking and optimization activities related with the yield for PV projects
*Develop solutions for ground mounted and roof top projects with the objective to optimize long term performance and value of the Photovoltaic systems
*Liaise with the rest of the Brazilian team to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
*Monitor and track project's engineering requirement in all stages: Development, Construction, Operation. Support pro-actively the regional development teams and construction managers
*Act as the point of contact and communicate Brazilian projects engineering information
*Report and escalate to Engineering Director/EPC Director as needed
*Constantly innovate and optimize planning time as well as system cost through robust, cost effective and reliable design
*Develop technical specifications as a framework for subcontractor's negotiation
*Collaborate with Procurement function to ensure that the purchasing activities are technically supported
*Collaborate with the EPC Director and Procurement team with the "Value Engineering" process during the EPC hiring
*Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

Requirements include
*At least 5 years in a similar role
*Experience of the LATAM markets
*Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineer
*Must be fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish
*Must be available immediately
