Operations Manager

Due to a vast amount of growth our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to manage the technical operations of a large offshore wind farm in the Netherlands on a full time permanent basis paying €60,000-€70,000 p/a gross + package depending on experience. Our client is a leading service provider in the offshore wind industry and this position will be split between Germany and the Netherlands.

Operations Manager duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of the technical operation of an offshore wind farm and acting as main contact person for the customer
  • Responsible for the implementation of the requirements of the contracts, licensing requirements, legal requirements
  • Determining personnel requirements and workload for work to be carried out for the wind farm
  • Development, coordination and control of medium and long term offshore planning
  • Initiation of the commissioning of service providers for third-party services in cooperation with contract management
  • Technical assistance to the contract manager for claims
  • Collaboration with the Senior Operations Management in operational resource planning
  • Random quality checks of offshore operations
  • Assistance in error analysis
  • Close coordination with Senior Operational Management about possible upcoming periodic inspections or unscheduled offshore operations
  • Control reporting of service teams, operations management and subcontractors
  • Determining required material from annual plan
  • Responsible for the procurement of material within the contractually defined limits
  • Defining needs for subcontractors (description of work, professional qualification, offshore qualification)
  • Operational interface to suppliers
  • Supports the contract manager in supplier development (e.g., feedback on performance)
  • Compliance with QM and HSE requirements, as well as QM and HSE requirements

Operations Manager desired experience:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent or higher professional qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in this field of work plus 3 years offshore experience
  • Strong knowledge of offshore wind energy
  • Good knowledge of MS and HS technology, in particular switchgear in or on substations (onshore and offshore)
  • Knowledge of the relevant standards and regulations for the field of wind energy (onshore and offshore)
  • Contract management experience
  • Good use of MS Office
  • Suitable for offshore medical
