Job Title: Project engineer (CHP) 
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40’000 - £50’000

JD Ross are representing an environmental solutions leader based in the UK currently recruiting for a Project Engineer with experience in CHP and power Generation to join their team in Liverpool. As Project engineer you will be in a technical position working closely with the design team and report directly into the project manager. 

The company has seen/ and continues to show significant growth having secured projects and operating in new territories and markets. You will be part of a growing team in not only the Power Generation field, but in different markets internationally. 

As CHP project engineer you will be working on a diverse portfolio of CHP projects and deliver and end to end service working throughout the project lifecycle. This is an extremely varied role, working from the feasibility stage through the design and finally into providing technical support throughout the construction process into operation. 

  • 3 – 4 days in the office with the potential to work remotely.
  • As required, oversee both permanent and contract staffing requirements.
  • Ability to manage a project and plan the delivery.
  • Reporting directly to the project manager.
  • Knowledge around HSE regulations.
  • CDM compliant.

Background in mechanical and/ or electrical engineering is essential – you will be managing CHP projects from the design through to the commissioning and handover/operation. You will need to be an excellent communicator in both verbal and written form. 

You will need construction/ site industry knowledge of M&E installations with specific focus on CHP projects.

  • Strong client facing.
